Beautifully made with our fluttering friends in mind, it's crafted of natural, unfinished cedar with a removable top, so you can easily add tree bark (a butterfly's favorite for perching and hibernating). Just mount the butterfly house 12" to 18" off the ground on a pole or post (you supply – plumbing pipe works well). Then, place the house in an area around trees, flowers or in a garden.

Helpful Hint: Make the butterfly house a more inviting place by adding tree bark. Just remove the top and loosely place natural tree bark in a vertical position in the house. Tree bark can be obtained from old wood piles or fallen trees.
