Cider Press Facts

• Approx. 34 apples makes 1 gallon of cider
• One basket/bag holds 5 gallons ground apple pulp per batch
• 1 bushel of apples produces an average of 3 gal. of cider
• Lehman's Cider press can make approx. 6 batches (bushels) or 18 gallons of cider per hour (depending on the variety of apple used)

Helpful Hint: After making cider, you can use the leftover pulp as animal feed (chickens and pigs love it!), compost it, or use it to make apple butter and apple cider vinegar.
