The polished, hardened C43/C45 carbon steel head is shaped in the traditional German style and measures about 6.85 inches across. The hickory handle is about 15.76 inches long, giving the tool an overall length of roughly 16 inches. A leather string at the handle end adds a practical finishing touch.
