Lehman's Axes
Chopping your own wood by hand is rewarding, but a good axe is essential. These dependable axes get the job done right!
Each axe head is made of 1050 carbon steel from New York, hardened to Rockwell 56. (Most axes are only hardened to between Rockwell 52 and Rockwell 55.) And, the hickory handles are made by an Amish family a few miles from our store.
