Sure, there are some bad apples in every basket, and the Amish population is no different. The popular view of the Amish is that the youth go through rumspringe, a time of running around and sowing lots of wild oats. For some this is true, but for many it is not.
Here’s what is special in our minds about Amish people and their work. In most cases, the Amish people we know are hard-working, they are devoted to their families, they are careful craftsmen, and above all they are attempting to live out their faith in God.

When we say "Amish-made," we are referring to the fact that the item is made by a craftsman who cares about his work, who is careful about the end product he produces, who works hard and who has a certain amount of pride in the product he produces. "Amish-made" means high quality, carefully made (often by hand), and a good value for your money. And, by inference, that high-quality item is, of course, made in America.
Don’t let "reality" fool you.
