Food for Thought

[1] When you don’t know where you are going any road will get you there.

[2] I decided the best I could with what I knew at the time. Then when I knew better I decided better.

[3] Rearing children brings us both the greatest joy and greatest pain all at the same time for a life time.

[4] Why do we eat things that are not good for us? I can only conclude the sense of taste is stronger than common sense.

[5] A man is the only being that feels a need to live with some one he doesn’t understand.

[6] Hatred wearies both mind and body and makes us ill. Forgiveness is a healing balm that cures our pain.

[7] If you have food, clean water, shelter, clothing and some one to love then you are richer than you realize.

[8] If you despise your life look around. Someone will be glad to change places with you.

[9] If you want a companion who will be loyal, faithful and love you unconditionally adopt a dog or cat from a local animal shelter.

[10] “Take heed and beware of covetness, for a man’s life does that consist in the abundance of the things he poessess.” Luke 12:15

” But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing we will be content with that.” I Timothy 6:6-8

[11] A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

[12] Give a man a fish and he will feed himself. Teach him how to fish and he will feed many people.

[13] Living on borrowed money is paying interest to someone else so they can buy the things they want with your money without having your debt.

[14] The best indicator of what a person will do in the future is to look at the decisions they have made in the past.

[15] A person’s character is best known by the company he or she keeps.

[16] Birds of a feather flock together.

[17] Fear and panic are caused by the uncertainty of the unknown. Fear is overcome by getting facts, undestanding what decisions you must make and acting on what you have learned.

[18] If a man’s best friend is his dog; then what is his wife?
