From Seeds to Salsa
Growing my own garden of lettuce, tomatoes, peppers and carrots has been such a rewarding and fun experience, and one of the best things that has come from it so far has to be the delicious fresh salsa I made. I had such an abundance of ripe, red tomatoes and spicy yellow peppers, I knew I just had to make this yummy snack. I'm a big fan of salsa, and the salsa I made was the best I've ever had, mostly because it was so clean and straight from the ground. salsa ingredients Going out and picking the baskets of tomatoes and peppers, the fruits of my labor that I've watched blossom and grow from seeds to sprouts to vegetables, might have been my favorite part. It's such a proud feeling harvesting food that you worked to produce. Making the salsa was very fun, too. Chopping, seasoning, and mixing up the colorful, bright, tasty ingredients was a project I found so enjoyable, I didn't want to stop and almost ended up making more salsa than we could possibly eat. salsa ingredients 2 Once the salsa was done, I loved giving little jars of it to my loved ones for them to enjoy. And of course, eating it with chips or with my Mexican food has been great! If you want to enjoy your own homemade salsa, you don't need a garden to do it! All you need is a grocery store or farmer's market, and a little free time to get cooking. Here's my favorite recipe for making my own fresh salsa. Enjoy! salsa and chips [tasty-recipe id="37545"]
