Helpful Hints for Fermenting:

Make sure to check your sauerkraut once a week. Skim off any scum on top.
Remember, the better quality ingredients you use, the better results you'll have.
Wooden boards will naturally swell during fermenting. Make sure the board you use fits properly in the crock. If it is too snug, it may get stuck.
