I live in R.I. and the only heat I have is thru Bio-Bricks, I use 1 ton of bricks a month, about the same as 1 tank of oil a month, when I mix them with my seasoned wood, I can almost get 2 months use out of 1 ton. Clean, neat, easy to use. My house is usually about 65 in the morning if I don't throw a few on in the middle of the night, if not, then my house is between 68 and 78 degrees all the time. A little work, but it beats paying for oil every 4 weeks.

We are very pleased with these bio blocks. They are easy to light and we use them with our cut wood to help hold the fire through the night. I would highly recommend them.

These are decent for fireplace or wood stove if nothing else is available, but would not recommend as a sole fuel source. Shed easily when handled; stack the fire carefully because these bricks CRUMBLE if you attempt to rearrange them during burn. Rather difficult to start, as the sides are smooth and a fairly large amount of kindling or paper is needed in order to create a hot spot that will catch these bricks.

These are a great heat source--carbon neutral and a very consistent burn.
