I have purchased the turkey by the case before. The cans were in good shape and the turkey was wonderful. NOT this time. ALL twelve cans were dented, some very badly dented. The box was in good shape, so the cans were dented BEFORE they were put into the box for shipment. (!!!) How can I expect the meat to last for five years??
Lehman's says: Thanks for taking the time to let us know! We're sorry for your experience and are looking into what happened.

We love this turkey! This is what I used to make our turkey dressing for Thanksgiving. It was the best I have ever made! Thank you Lehman's!

One reviewer wrote that he gets 4 whole sandwiches from a can. I don't know how much meat he puts in a sandwich, but from a 28 ounce can you can expect at least a dozen sandwiches--even more depending on what you add to the turkey salad. You can add a little BBQ sauce to the mayo, or a dill or sweet relish. I also like to finely shred red cabbage. Great meat regardless of how you choose to use it... add to soup, stew, casserole, stir fry, sandwiches, wraps. The only drawback to such a large sized can is using it all, if you are only one person. It lasts without any problem in the fridge once opened, but I prefer to use things up quicker. You can freeze part of it once opened, which I do sometimes. The broth in with the meat is superb... gels up showing the gelatin from the bones cooking... excellent over potatoes or rice or added to a soup. Don't throw the broth out, even if your recipe does not call for. If for some reason you don't want it, your dog or cat will love it. This is the best canned meat there is. Yoders has a lot less meat in their cans, more broth; and the meat seems to be half dark meat; whereas Lehman's seems to be all white.

I have tried ALL of these meat products & they are BY FAR a far better value than the small little cans of stuff you find in the supermarkets. I have eaten them straight from the can, cooked with them & made sandwiches from them. You can get up to 4 sandwiches from just one can! I highly recommend all of them. James Staley
