follow up on furrow hoe
Jun 4, 2020

This is a follow up to a review I posted yesterday, 6-3-20, in which I had a problem with a crack forming at the weld that attaches the plate to the hoe. I notified Lehman's and they went beyond correcting this problem. I must say if all companies and politicians were as honorable as Lehman's then this country wouldn't be in the condition we find ourselves in. They resolved this issue in favor of me and not to just resolve the issue. They truly are an outstanding bunch of people to do business with. They may be strangers to us , but they are very much like a friend, because only a friend will put you over a profit. They are very rare in this day and times. Yes, I would highly recommend Lehman's to everyone to do business with. They are beyond reproach. They really do operate their business as friends. They deserve more then 5 stars. Lehman's, I truly do thank you for your response in this matter. Once again I say, THANK YOU. C. Holder 6-4-20.
a shameful crack

This hoe is worth its weight in gold. It makes it possible for one to do a lot of work without breaking your back. It is a miracle tool. I liked the first one so well I bought a second one. It is a life saver. Then I noticed a crack developed where the plate is welded to the fork of the hoe. The crack went all the way through the metal and has started to follow the weld. The crack is about half way around the weld. I have applied JB Weld to the crack to see if the crack can be stopped, if not I will try to get it rewelded. If you are going to garden, this is the hoe to use. My wife notified Lehman's two days ago, but haven't heard any response from them . Their website gives a 30 day and 90 day guarantee and my 90 day guarantee is about to run out. I hope this hasn't been swept under the rug. I guess time will tell.
Very good product.

Over the years, I've purchased a number of garden hoes at the local hardware stores. They worked but as time went on, they would fail to meet my needs. Either the heads would detach from the handle, they would bend, break or were uncomfortable to use. I've used this hoe only a few times and I believe it will become one of my of my favorite tools. Well made, comfortable to hold and sharp. This hoe made short work of weeds, making my garden chores easier. I may even buy the garden hoe in order to have the set and round out my collection of specialty tools. This tool was well worth the money.

I am not merely satisfied with your Heart-Shaped Furrow Hoe, I am overjoyed. For 20 years, I was a backyard, raised-bed gardener. Now, after a 10-year break, I am at it again. But life and attitudes change. I am an 80-year-old (bullheaded) shrimp. I no longer listen to, モYou donメt need that, justナヤ Nor do I relish crawling across a bed to make furrows with fingers or a hand tool. The corner of a standard hoe creates a good drainage trench but not a neat furrow. I wanted a good furrowing hoe. Yours looked doubly impressive ヨ it is SHARP. Indeed it is! It nicely beheads those weeds that form carpets while they are still too small to grab. The blade shape and angle make for versatility. I tested. By shifting the hoeメs position, I can use it to cultivate beneath long drooping leaves and branches, chop out dandelions and crab grass from the lawn, and weed around iris rhizomes. It also makes a fine furrow. ナAnd, it is lightweight and has a good handle length. This baby shall have regular cleaning and oiling. Next on my list is your Garden Tool Sharpener.

This works perfectly! The toughest prairie weeds are no match for it. Also, it's a great upper body/arm toner.
