Beats Pulling Weeds
Feb 23, 2017
In the past I yanked up the dandelions through gravel. Broken roots meant a new plant in a few days and my knees don't appreciate the gravel The torch seems to end any particular plants existence without burning the entire plant to ash. Just roast the stalk and leaves and the plant quits within a couple of days. I use the torch on calm days as a few MPH of wind can blow it out. But no other complaints. Light weight and using to use. Lights with striker or matches.
Yard and Garden torch

I just received mine today. I had purchased two propane bottles so I was ready to try the torch. First I burnt the weeds in the garden, wow, it took little time to get rid of the weeds, next I did some weeds between the sections of sidewalk and they were ashes in no time. This tool really does a good job and saves a lot of time and bending over to pull weeds.

Been using one for years. Just keep a striker handy to reignite and all goes well. Better on smaller weeds. I use MAP gas in the yellow canister which burns hotter. Very quick for many small weeds.

Great product! Easy to use after as one reviewer stated a bit of trial and error as to how long to hold it on the weed/grass and adjusting the flame. Bought this for poison ivy but the product specifically states not to use it for that due to the ash and breathing the fumes of the plant. That was one of the main reasons I wanted it. There are so many other uses that I have that it was still worth buying it. Now my son wants one!

I have not had the opportunity to try this item yet, I wanted to post that I was very happy with the heft of the device, I trust Lehman's to provide quality items made to last, some other models I have seen seemed quite flimsy, that is why I purchased from Lehman's

The product works exactly as advertised and is easy to use. This way of dealing with weeds in a gravel drive is less expensive and less toxic for the environment than the usual weed killers. One of course needs to be cautious not to let twigs and dried leaves start a fire, but that is easily avoided by having a source of water readily available, e.g., a garden hose.

This has been a great product for me - burning weeds off of paver stones and other places where I would not catch the woods on fire. Some of the weeds that got into the paver stones were very hard to remove but this torch did it. The weeds have not come back since I burned them off. I highly recommend this device. It is very easy to use and the flame appears to be wind resistant, at least in my area (Michigan).

I have the large torch (20# propane tank), but it's too heavy to drag out for small jobs. This was easy to set up, and, after a bit of trial and error to adjust the flame, a snap to use. I had no trouble even coming off a week of record rain so long as I didn't try to hold the flame too close to the weed (cutting off the air).

I almost didn't order it based on the previous poor review. We live in VA - very humid state. The product worked great - the flame is adjustable (maybe the other person didn't realize that). My husband used it on weeds in our driveway and along the sidewalk/porch on the day after a horrendous rainstorm. It was also a bit breezy the day he used it - no trouble whatsoever. I highly recommend this product if you want to avoid chemicals when trying to control weeds.

This product is disappointing. The flame goes out easily; forget about using it if there is the slightest breeze. Unless your lawn conditions are very dry, weeds won't burn easily; if you live where there is high humidity forget about it entirely. However, I am keeping the torch because it does an absolutely fabulous job of starting a campfire!
