Laundry Hand Washer with Laundry Wringer
Oct 17, 2020

We have had this washer for a little over a year now we love it too.We had to get a washer and a dryer but the space we had was only big enough for one or the other so we got a dryer and went with this Laundry Hand Washer with Laundry Wringer and we are glad we did.I put a electric water pump on ours so it's nice to get the water out fast we tried it with out the pump for a while but it takes to long to drain and it gets very cold up here it Maine in the winter lol the water pump is a plus for use and I put wheels on our washer so we could move it around.I can tell you one thing this washer gets your clothes very clean better than a electric wash can for sure.It take very little time to was a load of clothes with it.We are very happy with it.
Lehman's says: Sounds like you added some great features! We're so happy that you like it!
Quality Washing Device

I had two washing machines fail on me and got fed up. I bought this machine 3 months ago and wanted to wait to review it until I knew how it did and how well it held up. This thing works just as well, if not better, to get clothes clean. It is also gentler; I have not had any clothes torn by it. I balked at the price initially, since it just looks like half a barrel on legs. Once it got delivered, I realized it's custom made at a steel fabrication shop nearby because it comes with their tag on it so you know who made it. This thing isn't half of a flimsy steel barrel with some legs glued on. It is completely stainless steel, which is an expensive but desirable material. It is very well welded; if it had welding imperfections, it would leak - but it doesn't. It has a unique pivoting mechanism for the agitator, which works very well. The legs are sturdy. The wringer could be better; it has normal steel in it that has rusted, so it squeaks horribly when used. I like the glass cover - it isn't a perfect square, so you can actually rotate it 90 degrees and put it down in the basin and use it to squeeze some of the water out prior to wringing. It does not take much work to use this thing either. You can use it outside and fill it with the garden hose. Then you just let the clothes soak for a few minutes, swish the clothes around a bit, drain the basin and wring the clothes, and then put them back in for a rinse cycle and wring once more. It's not much effort, and it's nice exercise anyway. All in all, I really like this device.
Nicely designed

This is very pleasant to use, particularly outside in the summer. Larger items (jeans, heavy towels, sheets) are more challenging, but doable. You need a ready water supply as you need to fill to wash, then rinse, then rinse again, so that's 3-13 gallons per cycle. And you need to think about where all that water will drain to, the further downhill it goes the faster it will drain as it builds up suction power. When you take out wet things to wring them out you may spill some water too. Having worked all that out, I enjoy using this as it's easy, not noisy, has clean lines and a nice design, it's easy to keep clean, and I think it will last many years. And it makes you appreciate what yr power washing machine does for you.
Simply Great

The wife and I moved out into the country a couple of years ago and we are slowly but surely going to pull the plug and go completely off grid. The washer has hastened the journey to complete self-sufficiency. It does a great job. The other reviews are correct in how well it works. Thank you Lehman's for such a great product. The only problem was the lack of the hardware and warranted a trip into town to the hardware store but in itself was a small inconvenience.
Wringer Washer is perfect.

An investment I wish I had made years ago. I would have thought it cost too much but in truth I would have saved so much money. This works easily, my laundry is very clean. I wash for 5 minutes, looking around the gardens, seeing things I would like to tend. I let the clothes soak for 10 minutes while I tidy up the yard a bit. I wash for 2 to 4 more minutes and wring the clothes out. Drain the tub, fill again to rinse. I rinse for 3 or 4 minutes and put them through the ringer again. I do a second rinse using some unscented, natural fabric softener. One more time through the wringer and out to the line to dry. It takes a few minutes to drain the tank which is another good time to play in the gardens. I know when it's ready because it makes a loud "whoosh" sound. After hanging the laundry I rinse the tank and wipe it down with a sham wow cloth I had in the back of my linens. Let it dry and then cover it with a cover made for a stack of lawn chairs. Perfect fit. Get your own heavy duty brass shut off valve. This gives you freedom from laundromats.
washer and wringer

This is a great washer. After you use it for a while it's a good idea to check all the nuts and bolts on it.I put my washer on wheels so I could roll it out of the way.I've had it for about a year I think I would say it will wash your clothes better than any other washing machine you have ever used.If you put it together the right way you will love it.I have read that some people have trouble putting it together but if you have any bar clamps/wood clamps you will have no trouble at all.I wish it did not cost as much as it does but in the long run it will out last any of today's washing machine you can buy.It takes a little getting use to but it's fun to use or I enjoy ours a lot.My wife is disable so I do all the work around here and in no time you can wash all you need too.It will even get ring around the collar out too lol or mine has for me.
Love it!

I bought this July 2019 and waited to write a review because I wanted to be honest about whether it worked or not. Yes it does! I feel it is gentler on clothes and cleans just as well as electric washing machines. I located it in an extra walk in shower in our house and which makes it convenient to drain it. I also recycle the rinse water in the warmer month for use outside.
I LOVE THIS MACHINE

I have been using my washer and wringer every day since it came about 3 weeks ago. Great exercise for me.....but also there are many other benefits. I am hardly using any laundry detergent....about 3 tablespoons of liquid per load. Water usage has also gone down alot from my electric washer. But really why I wanted to write this second review was because I have been asked a few times "how much laundry can you get into a load". Here is my example: 4 bath towels, 1 hand towel, 2 wash clothes, 3 med adult tee shirts, 4 pairs underpants, 3 pairs med adult shorts, 1 nightgown, 2 bras and 2 pair of socks. Yep that was all in one load and it all comes clean. Amazing machine.
Wish the wringer I ordered at the same time had come in the same box with the washer.

I have to say this is a great product. I just got it on Friday....still waiting for the wringer I ordered at the same time. Hey Lehmans folks dont you think that you should just put the two in the same box? It seems like a waste to ship the two separately to me. There was plenty of room in that box for the wringer I ordered too. As stated in earlier reviews the instructions could be better. But the machine is truly great. Just wish I had the wringer I ordered at the same time.
Awesome quality!

I absolutely Love this washing machine! I have been using it for 3 months. My clothes come out cleaner, and may I add dryer, than when I was using an automatic washer. I do agree with the reviewer that said they wished the wringer was a little wider to allow for blankets to go through better. I hope the manufacturer will consider making a wider model wringer - that would be great! However, the machine itself is absolutely awesome! I bought this for three reasons. First, when my automatic broke down last February I began shopping for another. I looked at the new prices and read reviews from lots of people fed-up with the new electronic models that make the decisions on how much water they are going to use to wash your clothes, lock the lid after machine starts, poor quality, and they break down after awhile. When one woman was so frustrated with the new automatics that she wrote she would rather wash her clothes on a rock in the creek, that decided it for me. At least my old automatic was still the type you could select the water level and open the lid after the machine started. Unfortunately the older machines are just that - getting older and not guaranteed how long they will still run. This automatic lasted about a year and a half. Secondly, I considered the exercise. After trying unsuccessfully to stay on an exercise regime for 40+ years, I thought what better way to ensure I do it this time because let's face it - I have got to have clean clothes! And it's working! Thirdly, it doesn't hurt to be a little prepared incase of power or grid failure. At least I will still have clean clothes! All said and done - I feel I made the right choice for me. I am extremely happy with the purchase. The construction is great quality. You will not go wrong with this purchase.
Washer with wringer

I love this washer. It is easy to use, easy to move, works great with excellent construction and cleans clothes with very little effort. I love the wringer, but I wish it was a little wider to accommodate large blankets. I was a little disappointed with the assembly instructions and the pre-drilled holes did not line up like they are supposed to, but it was fairly easy to correct. This is a wonderful alternative to electric, computerized models that always seem to be breaking down or have so many requirements that you can't get your clothes washed the way you want. Now you have complete control over how, when and where your clothes are washed without the aggravation of fighting with a pre-programmed machine. I set my washer outside next to the clothes line when I am washing and bring it back indoors when I am finished. It is very light and portable so you can move it anytime, anywhere. I can not imagine ever going back to an electric model after using this washer!
Better than I had dared expect

I love my washing machine. I had expected all sorts of problems, clothes that did not come completely clean, the wringer breaking buttons and zippers as well as a lot of physical effort. What I got was a gentle workout on my upper body while listening to a book on tape and clothes that are cleaner than they get in the washing machine. Completely recommend this and consider it money well spent.

We bought this as an alternative to the normal wash process. I work in a power plant and honestly love NOT using electricity at home. This is easy to use and does a good job from what we have seen so far. We are still sorting out the best way to use it indoors for filling and draining the water, but it's enjoyable either way. We bought a folding rack while visiting Lehman's and set it in front of our wood stove to help dry the clothes. We have a small fan on the stove that is powered by the heat, and that helps move air across the clothes to dry them more effectively. Expensive? Yes. But this is one step closer for those who enjoy being self sufficient, wish to be off grid, or just to be able to have clean clothes when the power goes out. I like having options, and this gives me them. It really is fun and easy to use!

PERFECT! The nanny's at Maison de Enfants de Dieu will love using their new washer. It is so perfect, I ordered them a second one!

I love the machine. It works great and gets clothes clean with very little effort. It would be helpful if the instructions told you where the bolts go. This took a little figuring. I also had a slight problem with one set of holes not lining up on the wringer end of the machine and had to drill it out slightly to make the bolt go in. I see one customer had trouble with the wringer not working correctly. I had the same problem and discovered that the trouble was that the top roller had locked up on either end. It was a simple matter to pop the top off of the wringer (press down on the tabs with a flat-head screwdriver and lift up) then apply a little soap or wax to the wooden thingies so the metal rod will turn free. This was the only reason I failed to give the washer a five. Otherwise I am very happy with it. I live in a hurricane prone area and have gone as many as six weeks without power. I'm ready for such inconveniences now.

I *love* my washer! It gives a great workout, gets the clothes very clean, and is just plain fun to use when you have good tunes to sing along with. It takes me about 45 minutes to do two loads. The kids do their laundry and count it towards PE!

I purchased the Lehman's Hand Washer several years ago. It is easy to use and cleans the laundry better than electric machines. I love doing laundry with the Lehman's Hand washer. It is my time to get away from everything and think as I rock the agitator from side to side. It really is very relaxing and I do enjoy using the wringer. After the laundry is done I don't have painful back spasms like I did when i used my scrub board. Now don't get me wrong a scrub board is fun to use and gets clothes clean but using this machine is so much easier and saves a lot of time. If you have electricity you will save a lot on your electric bill by washing the laundry with this machine. If you don't have an electric washing machine then you will appreciate the labor saving wringer. Either way you will appreciate how clean this machine gets your laundry, even dirty jeans and gardening clothes. The Lehman's Hand washer is one of the best purchases I have ever made.

Overall I feel this washer is of excellent quality and works well. Here are a list of my pros and cons thus far: Pros - Gets the laundry cleaner than my old washer - Agitator is easy to use and moves freely - Is well built Cons - VERY poor assembly instructions - The drain should be sloped to allow all the water to drain out - Washer sits a little too low with its current assembly, which makes using the wringer tiresome from bending over (I'm only 5'3) If the few cons were to be ironed out, this could easily be a 5 star washer. I use this washer for all my washing and currently have a family of 3.

we have a summer house without electricity and laundry was a problem until I bought this Hand washer. I was pleased to see that even bed sheets fit easily in the tank. I leave the device outdoor, put the laundry in the morning and all day, any member of the family passing by agitates it a bit. The kids simply love it.

I love this machine. It truly gets clothes clean, much cleaner than my electric washing machine. I have been using this washer for a few years and have been very happy with its performance.
