I ordered this apron after seeing the description "oilcloth" and thought it was actual traditional oilcloth. Traditional oilcloth was heavy cotton duck or a similar textile that was treated with a water-proofing oil. The item page did not list the actual material it is made from unfortunately. I paid $22 for the apron and $8 for shipping. When the item arrived it is made of PVC like certain outdoor items and the straps are some type of standard, synthetic, shiny thread. The quality looks to be very good. It is well sewn and the materials seem strong and durable. In my case the item is just not what I was looking for and to ship it back with this merchant's return policy (where the customer pays shipping both ways) is not worth it in this case. I am giving this item a middle rating, not based on the product alone, but also considering my experience and disappointment.

A hard to find apron and what a surprise to see it in Lehman's catalog. I LOVE it.

Like that it doesn't stain or get wet. Reminiscent of the oilcloth my 1st grade cigar box was covered with.

This is so nice.....heavy, keeps you dry and clean. I love it for cooking, but have also used it for bathing the dog! I got the red plaid one, good value and very attractive.
