Our ceramic butter crocks keep butter soft and fresh for up to 30 days. Simply pack the bowl with ½ cup of butter, fill the crock 1/4 full of cold water, and turn bowl upside down into water. Water forms tight seal to keep butter fresh. To serve, lift bowl out of crock and turn right side up again. Similar to centuries-old French butter storage system.

"This is a great product at a great price! I had found several others of lesser quality yet higher prices. As usual, thanks Lehman's!"

"In generations past the common way to present butter for table use was to put a lump of butter in a bowl of water with a stone on top of it to keep it from floating (butter is 80% butterfat). Keeping the butter under water kept the butter from oxidizing from the oxygen in the air. A modern version of this is to use this Butter Crock. My family has used this for years. The water in the crock creates a hydraulic barrier that does not allow oxygen to get to the butter thus keeping it fresh. Here is a hint: when you fill the crock about 1/3 with water put a couple of shakes of salt in it. Salt is a great preservative. We change the water every 3-5 days. Butter is always room temp and ready to spread and as fresh as it was when it came out of the wrapper. "

"I can say enough about this butter crock. It does exactly what the description says it will do. Real butter spreadable so it doesnt rip up the bread when you spread it. The water in the bottom does get kind of messy but it's still well worth the money. I say ditch the margarine and use the real deal. I also have to say that the staff at lehmans were great with packing my order and shipped it very quickly . You guys are great and you will always have my business as long as you stay non electric and hard find type store. I definitely will buy more of these butter crocks a must have here in Arizona."

"We love this butter crock so far! It keeps the butter spreadable, which is a welcome change for my husband, who grew up with tub margarine (an absolute no-no in our house). This has been a welcome change after many years of grumbling. Thanks, Lehman's!"

It's so nice to have spreadable butter at hand for instant use (and not a "combo" that's "blended" for "spreadability"). I'm VERY pleased!"

"I'd been looking for an affordable butter crock for a long time. The others I've seen cost anywhere from 30-50 dollars. I am so happy with this one, though I've put only store-bought butter into it so far. The consistency of the butter is perfect, and I have an easy recipe for semi-homemade butter I will be trying this weekend. I can not say enough about the customer service from Lehman's. I ordered three other products, and I was so pleased with all of them."

"I believe that this was a very good purchase. I currently make all of my own butter from the skimmed cream from our Jersey cow. It has been a little frusterating until I purchased the crock, because I make the butter then it would turns hard and not spreadable. Now with the crock, I made the butter, packed it into the cup inverted it into the crock with a bit of water and it has stayed very nice and spreadable. I only wish it was a bit larger, but I am just going to keep refilling it. :) Thank you for such a nice product."

"I bought one for myself and one for my sister. We both love them. I love real butter on my toast and with this it is soft and spreadable all of the time. It keeps it without it going bad. I just love it."
