And you thought a watched pot never boils! This handsome, clear glass teakettle lets you view its contents easily (and if you're not watching, the cheery whistle lets you know when water boils). Makes better hot water for coffee and tea because glass can't taint water with metallic tastes or other flavors.

  • Ultra-durable, borosilicate glass carafe boils up to five 8 oz cups (40 fl oz) at a time
  • Stainless steel band won't rust or tarnish
  • Heat-resistant handle stays cool
  • Metal heat diffuser included for use on open electric elements
  • Dishwasher safe
  • 7-3/4"H, 6-3/4"OD, 1 lb
  • Glass made in Germany
Note: To pour, carefully remove lid. Be cautious of hot steam and liquid.

"This teakettle broke in the first week. I was filling it with water and looked down and saw that the glass spout has broken off--I must have hit it against the faucet but the fact that I didn't hear or feel it seems to indicate that it was a slight bump. In any event, it clearly won't stand up to use. $14.95 is too good to be true."

"I enjoyed my glass whistling teakettle for less than a week. While washing it with a plastic brush, it broke on me. I was not using extreme force, just the brush and a dish cloth inside the kettle. I'm thinking there must have been a weak spot in the glass. It seemed like a freak thing. I was very pleased with it before this happened."

"I love this tea kettle. It's great for making green tea because you can catch the water easily before to comes to a boil. There are a few minor things I don't like: you can't use a higher setting than medium to heat the water so it takes longer to boil; the whistle is weak--pathetic really; and you have to remove the lid in order to pour the water. All things I can live with--it's a nice kettle."

"I searched for years trying to find a glass tea pot that didn't have any plastic or metal touching the water. I was so excited to finally find one and at such an amazing price too! My kettle was safely wrapped and shipped quickly. I use it every day, and just love it! I told my parents about the kettle, and they ended up purchasing one as well, and said it is the best tea pot/kettle they have ever owned. Thank you for offering this wonderful product on your site!"

"Just received my tea kettle and love it! I use it on my gas stove and it works wonderful. It seems very sturdy and the handle does not seem to get hot. They recommend that you do not use the highest flame setting so it doesn't effect the handle. Even with that, the water boils quite fast. Great price for a great product. "

"I am on my third teakettle! This is only because we are rough on them. When our water clouds the inside walls we just spray vinegar inside and swirl it around and leave it for a few hours and rinse. All clear!"

"This is a great little kettle. I burn my stuff up pretty fast usually so I bought cast iron and this kettle in order to try to find something that would live through my cooking. It did! I had it less that two weeks and forgot to put in the wistle top when reheating coffee. Before long I smelled that familiar burning smell. I was upset with myself and thought I had ruined yet another pot. Nope... this guy stood the test. I was able to clean it with baking soda and water and a cloth. I used a spoon behind the cloth to avoid damaging the glass and the little kettle is clean as a whistle looks just like when I bought it new. Amazing. This pot is for me. Thank you!"

"I brew a lot of iced tea and the glass kettle is my best brewpot. I used to be able to get new ones locally when my old one broke but have not been able to find them lately. The last one I purchased I found in Canada. This one from Lehman's is sturdy, with a tight fitting lid and a good whistle - important for reminding me I have the pot on - I have broken several in the past when I forgot they were on and ran dry."
