Around here, our Amish neighbors have a serious love for popcorn. This new stainless steel popper is an improved and enhanced model designed by a local Amish man.
  • Made of 304 surgical stainless steel
  • Steel clad aluminum bottom disperses heat evenly and ensures aluminum does not come in contact with food
  • Heavy-duty metal dasher rides smoothly along the bottom to prevent burning and scorching
  • Hinged, vented lid provides easy loading and pouring and optimum temperature control
  • Lid opens in the front, so it won't close on itself when you pour popcorn out sideways
  • Large 6-quart capacity - enough for the whole family
  • 8-1/4" ID, 6"D, 3 lb
  • China
Note: Much cheaper versions of this popper are available. We carry this one because we know you will be happy with it. Ours is stainless steel, not aluminum. (If you want an aluminum one, try our #2TPP.) We don't carry the cheap copies because every one we tested had loose handles, a cranking mechanism that got too tight to turn when hot and chintzy, thin metal pots.

"I've had this popper for almost two years. I bought it wanting to get away from using the aluminum popper that we were using. At first the price left me doubtful of the worth. But, I've never had a lick of trouble with this popper, and am totally happy with the quality for the price ratio. It's something that takes time to keep clean and the gears oiled for the next use, but a much healthier version for some really great treats. I wouldn't trade it for any other!"

"Kettle corn is a daily thing in our family during the deep winter. As another reviewer said, we also wore out one of the cheaper designs before buying this one. We've loved it from the start! When adding sugar to the popper I do shake it from time to time to keep the kernels from piling at the edges. And the lid has slipped a little, during that classic 'stove popped corn gesture', but certainly not so much that it requires any kid of modification. It has already lasted double its predecessors lifetime. Well worth it!"

"I got this Lindy's stainless steel popper for Christmas, and it's now nearly Easter. I've used it a LOT, and I really like it. The folks who say you should lubricate the gears are right; that helped a LOT...I used bicycle lube, but not on the inside. I've found the pot easy to clean (much more so than my aluminum Whirly Pop), so it's good for sugar-coated pop-corn recipes. My top seems to stay on just fine (although pouring out popcorn is a bit awkward). I have noticed that the gears unscrew if you crank left-handed, but they screw right back on if you switch to right-handed cranking. Unless there is some inconsistency in product quality, I am puzzled by the reviews stating this product is low-quality or not durable. The "sweeper" doesn't contact the bottom of the pot, but there really isn't a need to "stir" the popcorn until it's actually popped (so it doesn't burn), so that's not really and issue. I've recommended this popper to anyone I know who makes a lot of popcorn."

"I have only used this popper four times since receiving it but have not had any problems with it thus far. It looks nice and pops great. Best popcorn I've had in awhile. Easy to clean. I especially like how this brands lid clips on! It is very easy to put on and take off. Great popper."

"I bought this as a family gift and it went to Winter Camp with the Boy Scouts. They used it on a metal grate/grill directly above the fire with great results. It was VERY popular- I would expect a big uptick in sales!- and declared hands-down the best popcorn anyone had ever eaten. Great product!"

"I do really like this popcorn popper over all the others I have tried. Just a bit of oil and the corn pops so much better than the electric kind. The fact that the popper opens in the front instead of the side takes a bit of getting used to, however, once you do its as easy as pie. Thanks again for making such a great product."
